BFA Interior Architecture & Design, University of North Alabama

Current U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Interior Designer

Let me introduce myself! I’m an interior designer based in Madison, Alabama, where I live with my husband, Ford, and our stylish Standard Poodle, Abel—who also happens to be the muse behind my brand’s logo.

Currently and with over three years of service as an Interior Designer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Huntsville, Alabama, I have the honor of supporting the Army, Navy, and Marines on a diverse array of projects.  From barracks and offices to childcare centers, if it’s on a military base, my team has probably had a hand in furnishing it! My role ensures that every military base receives functional and comfortable environments.

My journey in design began in my hometown of Florence, Alabama, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and Design at the University of North Alabama. This education equipped me with comprehensive skills in drafting software, business insights, and an understanding of the building processes. An invaluable internship at a local luxury interior design firm further refined my expertise in residential design, client relations, and project execution. I credit my education and experience getting me to this confident point in starting my own business!

When I’m not immersed in design projects, whether for the military or for you, you’ll find me leading Pure Barre classes here in Madison—a passion that keeps me energized and connected with the community.

Interior Design, to me, is the ability to curate a space that’s equally comfortable as it is functional. In result - a home is created. It’s about creating a sanctuary where, regardless of life’s ups and downs, you find solace. This sense of comfort at home empowers you as you step out into the world. Being entrusted with the task of designing such personal and beautiful spaces is a responsibility I deeply value. I believe that elegance and style can grace every corner of your home.

A special thank you extends to my family and friends. Without their support, I would have never put this business out there. To my husband and parents, thank you for the belief in me and the stepping stones. My passion is driven by an eye for design, but it is fueled by the people around me.

My love, let’s design!

Xoxo -Katherine
